What a nanny request contains

The nanny rate is a daily rate

If you also offer babysitting, the app suggests a nanny rate consistent with your hourly rate, which you remain free to adjust.

The service conditions

• Nestora's Nanny service is reserved for women aged 18 to 60
• Solid childcare experience: nanny, au pair, regular babysitting, nursery or early childhood
• Identity, criminal record extract and photo checked by our team; up-to-date liability insurance
• First-aid certifications - Samaritans, BLS-AED, IVR - are shared with your babysitter profile and shown to families as long as they are valid

Sign up on the Nestora app: if you are a babysitter and meet the conditions, the Nanny service is switched on automatically at sign-up. All that remains is to set your daily rate to receive requests from Geneva families.

Nestora is neither a placement agency, nor an employer, nor a payment intermediary. The app connects Geneva families with providers for one-off assignments: the contract is concluded directly between you and the client, who pays you in full, with no commission.

You work under your own responsibility. It is up to you to complete the administrative, social-insurance and tax formalities related to your activity: AVS registration, accident insurance, declaring your income, and a residence and work permit if you are not a Swiss national. For regular childcare at a family's home, the family may be considered an employer under Swiss law; in Geneva, Chèque service files the declarations on its behalf.
